French Quarter Sidewalk Project

This year the City of New Orleans will embark on a $3 million project to improve sidewalks and access for persons with disabilities. This project will include sidewalk and curb ramp reconstruction for a 72 block area in the historic French Quarter. The Department of Public Works anticipates that the project will take two years and it can serve as a model for systematically improving the quality of access for city streets and sidewalks.

A schedule of construction will be posted when available.
