School Food Service
Almost 80% of high school students do not eat the recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. In partnership with the Prevention Research Center at Tulane and based on a template created by the U.S. Department of Education, Steps has adapted a request for proposals (RFP) to food service providers that incorporates the highest national standards for school breakfast and school lunch, including requirements set by Team Nutrition and USDA menu planning. This RFP is available to schools for the food service vendor bidding and contracting process.
