New Bicycle Racks Installed in New Orleans

The City of New Orleans recently completed the installation of twelve bicycle racks that were donated by Saris Cycling Group. These racks were graciously donated to the City following Hurricane Katrina to help with rebuilding and improving the bicycling infrastructure throughout the city. Installation locations include several high-profile sites that have experienced dramatic post-Katrina increases in bicycle parking demand; these sites include New Orleans City Hall and the downtown main library. A local bicycle shop, Bicycle Michael’s volunteered installation labor and tools.
