July 3rd 2006 - Physical fitness outreach month at City Hall  
As a part of Phase 1 of the Steps to a Healthier New Orleans (Steps) community outreach, Steps is conducting physical fitness and activity outreach activities within FEMA and private trailer park locations for residents displaced by Katrina and other locations in addition to New Orleans City Hall.

March 8th 2006 - Steps Launches Health Promotion Campaign to Fight Obesity  
Don’t buy junk. This simple, blunt anti-junk theme is at the heart of our new outreach campaign. Radio and television PSAs encourage people to “Avoid Junk,” a timely message for residents who find it difficult to eat healthy foods in post-Katrina New Orleans.

March 19th 2005 - Steps hosts Kid's Run/Walk  
A day of health based education and activity to be held at the Louisiana Children's Museum

February 9th 2005 - Steps Rolls Out Media Campaign  
The Treat You Right Campaign kicks off this month with TV, Radio and Transit ads.

January 24th 2005 - Unique Partnership Fights Obesity in New Orleans  
Tulane University announced today a gift of $275,000 from
the Entergy Charitable Foundation to support the “Treat You Right” campaign in coordination with Step Together New Orleans.

December 10th 2004 - Produce Distribution Press Release  
Steps teamed up with NOPS and Second Harvest Food bank to give away nearly 3000 pounds of fresh produce.

November 29th 2004 - Bike Rack Press Release  
Bike racks are coming to downtown New Orleans in 2005.

November 3rd 2004 - Bond Election Press Release  
The recent bond election was a great stride forward for Steps and the health of New Orleans.
